Creating fulfilling relationships

My Time for Waiting is Over

My first two professionally produced songs are ready! The first song is Our Time for Waiting is Over. This song is a call out to answer the heart and find the courage, humility, strength and support needed to bring love to both the light and dark places. It is the theme song for my Gofundme Campaign and I will email it to anyone who donates to my campaign, whatever amount that might be.

This song features the exquisite voices of Donna Rae Johanna Elise and Aneeta Dastoor. A huge thank you to you Eric Lu for the many hours you put into making it sound so beautiful. Find it here. Please leave a comment there and let me know what you think.

The second song, A Thousand Mirrors,  was co-written with my sister, Simone Saavedra. Find it here. It’s about leaving behind all distractions in order to get clear on my deepest calling. The melody and some of the lyrics came to me while on a 4-day fast in Nlaka’pamux Heritage Park, a.k.a. the Stein Valley.

Our Time for Waiting is Over

There’s a break in the clouds, There’s a darker day coming
There’s a three-legged dog that’s still running
There’s a wind at the sail, While the ship is sinking
There’s a one-armed swimmer that’s still kicking

Our time for waiting is over, Our time for waiting is over
It’s our time to answer the heart, It’s our time to answer the heart
She’s calling out, ‘Love, love, love.’

There’s a lover who’s lost again, There’s the shoulder of a good friend
And a trail of missing pieces of the puzzle takes us home
It takes us home, the long way around
There’s a man, there’s a woman, there’s a beating heart
There’s a cup for change, there’s a grocery cart
And there’s time, I swear there’s time,
For ‘Hi, how are you? You matter too.’

Our time for waiting is over, Our time for waiting is over
It’s our time to answer the heart, It’s our time to answer the heart
She’s calling out, ‘Love, love, love.’

There’s a new kind of hell on the horizon
There’s a new kind of heaven right beside it
And the only question now is: Which one are we more afraid of?
Come out come out wherever you are
We’re all in this together

There’s a silence that takes my breath away
There’s a silence like a slap to the face
And there are words, and there are arms
That reach out to hold us, they reach out to hold us

Our time for waiting is over
Our time for waiting is over
It’s our time to answer the heart
It’s our time to answer the heart
She’s calling out, ‘Love, love, love.’
